The poem «On the Wings of Autumn...», illustrated by Zoya Kozlovskaya, turned out to be unique, song-like, thoughtfully tender, and sad, much like the songs and romances created from the texts of Elena Kamyshnaya. These works amaze with their multifaceted nature, fragility, and that poignant soulfulness which, since ancient times, has compelled artists to work tirelessly and, through constant refinement, invest truly titanic effort into selecting various materials, thereby achieving the astonishing beauty and unique individuality of their creations. In the enamel work «On the Wings of Autumn...», we notice decorative-symbolic images and painterly, refined allegories. It is in Zoya Kozlovskaya's enamels that we encounter the «mourning autumn» and see the «eyes of the native land».

«On the Wings of Autumn»
To Anne Marli
On autumn's wings, the cranes are calling— Sad is the song of parting embraces. There is no distance for love so vast That it could forget the eyes of the native land.
The rain will hum its simple, plain refrain, And drum with drops across the puddles' glass, Cold rain, the harbinger of winter's chill, By habit wise, and just as seasons pass.
Let bells ring out for memories of the past, Their chime is echoed by the mourning fall, And silvered poplars, answering the call, Have gathered leaves to grace the final ball.
Yet there is no sorrow, the flock will return, The homeward path is centuries ordained. In this brief life, irreversible and fleeting, Our kindred blood calls out through memory's keeping.
On autumn's wings, the cranes are calling— Sad is the song of farewell embraces. There is no distance for love so vast That it could forget the eyes of the native land!
