«The Forest Enchantress» – this work continues the cycle of love lyrics, presenting the figures of a man and a woman engaged in a silent dialogue with one another. Yet, a woman becomes truly special only in the eyes of a man in love. He endows his chosen one with unique qualities; for him, she is more than just a woman—she is a forest fairy, to whom all aspects of nature and human existence are subject.

The Forest Enchantress
Forest enchantress, Why do you play, Casting pitch-black darkness Upon my way? Forest enchantress, Do you not know That true freedom is To live without love? It is yours to enchant! Yours to run through the forest, And hide where the reeds rustle, And in the morning, Pushing aside the veil of fog, To marvel at the sunrise, To gaze into the springs. Enchantress! You rush with bare feet, But the fire of the heart Cannot be quenched by dew! Scatter it generously, Like pearls, Give everything for the happiness Of compassion and love.
***
Queen of the Forests
Queen of the forests— A bed of soft moss, Your coverlet is The lace of the mist, And at dawn there sings With a tender echo the flute, Weaving dreams Of love without deceit.
You awaken And run along the path, In the basin of the lake, the azure— The sky washes its face, And your curls, In the kisses of the dawn, Glow with little flames Of a golden hue.
Why are you alone, Queen of the forests? She replies— «The forest loves its queen. If I wish, I shall soar Up to the constellation of the Hounds, And, curved like a bow, I will harness the crescent moon."».
No one can fathom, Whether you love her or not, Her tears, brimming with song, The prophecy in her green eyes... And she laughs and she dances— While the merry days Sweep far away The sorrow of solitude.

Other works by the artist
In the master's ceramics, there is a clear inclination towards free decorativeness, as well as coloristic and plastic expressiveness. Puchkov's compositions appear "alive," refined, light, and airy.
The sculptures captivate with their precision of detail and fluidity of line.
