Born on February 17, 1978, in Novosibirsk. Evgeny's mother is a doctor, and his father, an engineer by training, later worked as the director of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic and was also appointed Minister of Culture of the Novosibirsk Region. Evgeny was surrounded by creative people from childhood and began performing on stage at an early age.
In 1999, he graduated from the Novosibirsk branch of the State Institute of Theater Arts (RATI-GITIS), from the course of Valentin Teplyakov and Marina Kaidalova, but already in his first year of study, he performed in productions of the Novosibirsk Academic Youth Theatre "Globus". In 2005, Evgeny was invited to work at the Moscow Drama Theatre named after N.V. Gogol. Since 2007, he has been working at the Moscow Oleg Tabakov Theatre. He is also a guest actor at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre.
At the Oleg Tabakov Theatre, Evgeny, who is highly skilled at working within the system of classic stage archetypes that are somewhat forgotten today, has created a remarkable gallery of neurasthenic characters and romantic leads: Andrei Belugin («Belugin's Marriage»), Drozzhinin («Zatovarennaya Bochkotara»), Yevgeny Bazarov («Fathers and Sons»), Silva («The Elder Son»), Sir Toby Belch («Twelfth Night»), Rudolf («Emma»), Vershinin («Three Sisters»), He («The Bench»), Lombard («And Then There Were None»), Lieutenant («The Passions of Bumbardash») — all these performances were highly appreciated by critics and, most importantly, by the audience.
In recent years, the actor has become well known to film and television audiences thanks to his leading roles in the projects «Yalta-45», «Leningrad-46», «Double Solid Line», «Wings of the Empire», and «Hero on Call». Evgeny V. Miller's filmography includes over 70 films.
